Question #1: What made you decide to get a degree in special education?
Answer #1: I always wanted to teach math, but when I got to college I wasn't doing very well. Ii switched careers and ended up co- mananging resteraunts. I moved to Arizona. Took a few weeks, got a job interview, but instead went to University of arizona was rquired to take adaptive P.E. with Question #2: How many years have you been teaching special education?
Answer #2: 25 years
Question #3: As far as teaching special education goes, what have been the bigest obstacles that you have had to overcome and how did you overcome them?
Answer #3: Well I haven't overcome them yet but the quantity of people I have work with. The parents, all teachers, professionals in special, the principle and no tto mention the kids.
Question #4: How many years of college did you attend?
Answer #4: Aarizona State for 6 years. Four years for bachelors and two years for masters.
Question #5: what kind of advice can you give me as far as teaching special education goes?
Answer #5: Be patient and flexible and be able to let things go. Also don't take things too personally.
